• Lotions & Cosmetics

Apply lotions, perfumes, and cosmetics before putting on your jewelry. Skin and hair products can react with metals over time and may cause tarnishing or dullness.

  • Water & Swimming

Avoid wearing your jewelry while showering or swimming. Water, minerals, and chemicals, especially from pools or hot springs can affect the surface and reduce its shine. If your jewelry becomes wet, dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth.

  • Exercise & Daily Activities

Remove your jewelry before exercising, gardening, cleaning, or other physical activities. These situations can put pressure on the piece or cause scratches and accidental damage. Perspiration may also contribute to tarnishing over time.

  • Storage

When not wearing your jewelry, store it in a clean, dry place away from moisture and humidity. Keeping pieces separate can help prevent scratches and tangling. Jewelry boxes, soft pouches, or individual compartments are ideal for protecting your pieces.

  • Tarnish

Silver can naturally tarnish over time, but regular care can help maintain its shine. Before storing your jewelry, gently polish it with a soft cloth to remove any residue from daily wear. This simple step helps slow down the buildup of tarnish.

  • Repairs

If your jewelry becomes damaged or needs repair, please contact us first. Whenever possible, we encourage repairing pieces rather than replacing them, so that you can continue wearing and enjoying the jewelry you already love.

Each piece from Ruorui Jewelry is thoughtfully made in the studio, and we will do our best to assist with repairs whenever possible.
